Candidate Statement on Passage of Automatic Voter Registration Bill

Great news

The passage into law of automatic registration in Massachusetts provides eligible voters an opportunity to make our state more democratic and more responsive to the people of our great state.
This new law is expected to take effect on January 1, 2020 and will automatically register eligible voters who use certain state services to be automatically registered to vote. It will also automatically update changes of address, thereby saving voters time and effort to maintain the accuracy of their voter registration. Those who wish will be able to opt out.

Don’t wait until 2020

I’m proud to have supported this common sense legislation and encourage those of you who are not yet registered to vote to do so immediately. You can register to vote or update your voter registration information by using the Massachusetts Online Voter Registration (OVR) system at

Spread the word

Please encourage your friends and neighbors to register and to vote and ask them to vote for me, Chris Tribou, for a State Representative. Together, we will create a Better Billerica.
